21st Annual Made in the Shade Beer Tasting Festival
This year, Made in the Shade includes:
· FREE SHUTTLES! Downtown Flagstaff route and pick-up/drop-off locations;
· Live music provided by local Flagstaff-based band Stone River;
· Other entertainment including roving entertainers throughout the event and a return of the costume contest;
· Special incentive for bringing a designated driver: When patrons purchase four (4) or more tickets at one time online they receive one free Designated Driver ticket (*offer only good for online sales: visit azbeer.com/flagstaff);
· Special Designated Driver Experience (including a select area for designated drivers only and a special "reverse valet" at end of the Festival) sponsored by The Nackard Companies;
· VIP experience that “sets sail” at noon (a limited-ticket portion of the Beer Festival that sells out…purchase tickets soon!) sponsored by Aspect1 Internet Service.
“This is the longest running beer festival in northern Arizona and you definitely don’t want to miss it!,” said Gina Marie Byars, Station Manager for Sun Sounds of Arizona, the nonprofit hosting this top craft beer tasting festival each year.The Made in the Shade Beer Tasting Festival showcases an amazing variety of craft beers from breweries in Arizona, around the Southwest and the western U.S. Advance tickets are available atazbeer.com/flagstaff for $40. VIP tickets are $80. There are also VIP and general admission designated driver tickets. The general admission ticket price includes a souvenir tasting mug, 24 sampling tickets to exchange for beer samples and great live music. A tasty variety of food and snacks are available for purchase from several vendors and there is free parking for all attendees.
Made In The Shade Beer Tasting Festival is a wonderfully cool retreat from a hot Arizona summer. The Festival’s venue, Fort Tuthill County Park-Coconino County Fairgrounds, is a picturesque location in the midst of cool pine trees with views of northern Arizona’s spectacular San Francisco Peaks.
VIP tickets are $80 in advance and include the opportunity to taste up to 24 three-ounce samples of micro-brewed and specialty craft beers, a unique VIP mug and a special exclusive VIP area sponsored by Aspect1 Internet Service. Also VIPs will be offered food, shady seating and other special VIP perks (including massages, exclusive port-a-lets, special tastings and more!) The gates for VIPs open one hour early at 12 p.m. VIP designated driver tickets are $25 and include access to both the VIP and designated driver areas while general admission designated driver tickets are $10 each. No pets are allowed except service animals. There are no refunds, no firearms allowed and all guests must be 21 and have an ID to enter.
