Good Karma Tuesday: Well Woman Healthcheck Program

On Tuesday, October 8th, Good Karma Tuesday will benefit the Well Woman HealthCheck Program of Northern Arizona of North Country HealthCare. Ten percent of all sales will be donated and will contribute to the focus on spreading the word about breast cancer, access to screenings, and treatment services.

Having treatment available for all women screened is an important mandate of the Well Woman HealthCheck Program which provides breast and cervical cancer screenings to approximately 1000 uninsured and underinsured women annually. Additionally, the program covers the expense of any diagnostic follow-up needed after abnormal screenings and functions as a payer of last resort for women diagnosed with breast cancer through the Well Woman HealthCheck Program.

North Country HealthCare serves as the medical home for nearly 50,000 people throughout northern Arizona, 20,000 who reside in Flagstaff and the surrounding area. North Country HealthCare accepts Medicare, AHCCCS, commercial insurance and offers a sliding-fee scale based on income and family size.
