Roots Composting - Straw Bale Composter Workshop
Roots Composting will demonstrate how to build a straw bale composter as a slow (cold) compost. Learn about the benefits of composting for enriching soil for healthier food production as well as improving local ecosystems. Discuss how composting can improve water quality and energy use and how important this community practice is in reducing waste. Recommended attire: long pants, work shirt, and closed-toe shoes such as hiking/work boots.
