DESCRIPTION:Open to children ages 10-13\n\nWelcome to FLG Code and Tech Camp! Learn about the innovative world of STEM and Coding through engaging and interactive activities. We will be meeting virtually to collaborate on STEM and Coding projects as we build our real world skills!\n \n\nVIRTUAL LESSONS\n\n\n\nWeek 1 "DIY ROBOTS" \n \n\nExplore the exciting world of Robotics by engineering a DIY Robot! Get crafty and make your robot from everyday materials: battery-powered motors\, wires\, glue... the list goes on! We will be exploring the engineering design process through robot building!\n \n\nDay 1: Introduction to robot building through the engineering design process. Students will begin to sketch a 2D diagram or create a 3D diagram of their robot.\n \n\nDay 2: Continue robot design process and begin constructing DIY robot. Review engineering design process through 2D/3D diagrams. Wiring tutorial and introduction to movement challenge.\n \n\nDay 3: Complete DIY robots. Students will be presenting their robots as well as reflecting on their robot.  \n \n\nWeek 2 "CRASH COURSE CODING" \n \n\nThe world of coding is waiting for programmers like you! Learn how to decipher the technological world with coding! Conquer the basics with interactive coding tutorials and walkthroughs. Create an awesome website flash game\, and more!\n\n \n \n\nWeek 3 "IN DEPTH CODING / FINAL PROJECTS & PRESENTATIONS" \n \n\nBuild on your code skills with in-depth coding projects! We will be exploring HTML\, JavaScript\, and Python programming languages as we create apps\, websites\, games. You decide what to code! We will be preparing our final projects to present to our peers\, parents\, and community! One of the most useful skills in STEM is public speaking\, let's celebrate our work and show it off!
