Family Friday: Germination
Livestreamed at 2:30 pm on the MNA Facebook page Seeds wait for the right conditions before they sprout and start to grow. This Friday we visit the Colton Community Garden to learn about seeds and how gardeners create the conditions they need to grow into healthy plants. Learn how to make a paper pot to start seeds inside. Plant bean seeds to watch them grow and learn why beans are often planted with corn and squash, called the Three Sisters. Museum of Northern Arizona educator Mari Soliday presents a short education program for kids on the MNA Facebook page, including an activity to try at home. If you watch it live, you can ask questions in the comments. Past programs can be found in the video section of the MNA Facebook page or on the MNA YouTube channel.
