Night at the Museum: Trading Posts and Trade Blankets
Celebrated local historian and Flagstaff native Jim Babbitt will present an illustrated history of his family's trading business on the Navajo, Hopi, San Juan Southern Paiute, and Apache Indian reservations. The history of trade blankets, mostly from Pendleton Woolen Mills, and the role of the blanket in Native American culture will be the focus of this FREE presentation. This is a benefit for the Flag Wool & Fiber Festival 2016 and will include a silent auction!
