Ceramics 102: Making Bookend Planters

In this three-part course you will be guided through the process of making a set of ceramic bookend planters. This class combines the two main forms of ceramics—wheel throwing and hand building techniques—to create two bookends.
This is an advanced beginner class. Students should have a basic level of wheel throwing skills such as centering, pulling walls, and trimming.
What You'll Learn:
- Learn methods to throw a planter with an attached drip tray.
- Learn and use hand building techniques to create two separate bookends from a single thrown planter.
- Take home a fully finished set of bookend planters.
