Coding Camp- Week 3 Morning Session
FLG CODE CAMP 2017 (introduction to coding)- Hosted at Northern Arizona Center of Entrepreneurship & Technology (NACET), the week long summer code camp(s) operates four hours a day and includes 2-3 hours of coding each day. Appropriate for ages 9-15 years old, the campers learn the basics of coding through an interface that resembles a video game platform-- thereby building immediate enthusiasm and level of comfort. As the camp progresses, the campers work in group development teams to design and develop various coding projects and challenges. The camp also introduces all of the various roles and potential careers that make-up the digital workplace eco-system. Community leaders and digital professionals periodically visit and present to the campers to address the importance of learning to code and how coding plays a role directly or indirectly in their own professional lives.
