First Amendment interactive discussion with Prof. Dzeguze and Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival

FREE event! No tickets needed! The wording of the First Amendment's protections of speech and the press hasn't changed in over 235 years, but the understanding of these rights has shifted profoundly.

In this interactive talk Professor Andrew Dzeguze will explore that change and ask whether it needs to adapt to our current circumstances and the challenges of any such effort. Professor Dzeguze, Ph.D./J.D., is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of International Affairs at Northern Arizona University. His academic interests include the intersection of law and policy, judicial decision making and improving student preparedness for research and professional school. He teaches a wide range of courses including Constitutional Law, Civil Liberties, Trial Procedure, Non-profit Organizations, Regulatory Processes and Introduction to Political Science. He also serves as a Pre-Law Advisor and directs NAU's Mock Trial program. When not at NAU, he can sometimes be found on stage as a performer, primarily with Theatrikos Theatre Company.
