"The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA): What it is and how it affects your business"
The CTA was passed into law in 2020 by Congress and went into effect January 1, 2024. The goal of the CTA is to prevent money laundering, terrorism financing, tax fraud, and other financially related crimes in shell or shadow entities. To achieve this goal, the federal government has imposed new filing requirements for most small businesses across the U.S. This presentation will go over what the CTA is, what the new filing requirements are, and which businesses must comply with the requirements.
This event will also be available virtually. Please register here and a Zoom link will be sent to you by email prior to the event.
