Night at the Museum: Roosevelt's Arizona Boys
Until his death in 1919, THEODORE ROOSEVELT maintained his connection with his fellow Rough Riders and promoted the careers of his former troopers. In exchange, these men did much to politically support him, though at times their actions complicated Roosevelt's life and career. In this latest installment of Pioneer Museum’s FREE monthly Night at the Museum program, learn how Roosevelt coped with his comrades after the Spanish-American War and how he uniquely effected Arizona politics and development. Speaker MARTY FEESS is a retired teacher and long-time Arizona resident. He earned his MA and his Ph.D. in history at Northern Arizona University and is the author of Theodore Roosevelt’s Arizona Boys: Cowboys and Politics in the Old West. Pioneer Museum’s Rough Rider artifact collection will be on display.
