Northern Arizona Anti-Hunger Summit
Join the Flagstaff Family Food Center for the inaugural Northern Arizona Anti-Hunger Summit (NAAHS). The Summit will allow tribal and government representatives, social service leaders, healthcare providers, client advocates, and community partners to advance efforts in addressing food insecurity throughout northern Arizona through increased collaboration.
SUMMIT OBJECTIVE
To offer the audience various insights into the human relationship with food and how our systems in northern Arizona affect this connection, both positively and negatively. How food gets from farms and fields to our dinner tables varies significantly across regions. Therefore, we should consider the unique histories, challenges, diets, and cultures surrounding food.
The Summit will focus on the hunger crisis impacting northern Arizonans and food justice solutions.
The event occurs Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Flagstaff.
