Rt 66 Chili Cook-Off to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff

Join us for the Rt 66 Chili Cook-off at Thorpe Park on August 1st and 2nd!

This is a fun family event and features Chili from individual competitors and local fire and law enforcement teams on Saturday and Restaurants bring their best on Sunday!

When is the cook-off? 10 AM to 4 PM August 1, 2026, and 9 AM to 3 PM August 2, 2026.

Are Kids Welcome? Yes, and there is a full playground on site!

Is there a Beer Garden? Yes, and open to anyone over the age of 21 (ID will be checked).

Do you offer other food besides chili & salsa? No! Though outside food is allowed in the park you won't need it.

Can we bring dogs? Yes, as long as they are on a leash.

Presented by the Flagstaff Chili Society and benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff, providing mentorship to local youth. Mentorship has been shown to increase self-confidence, improve academic outcomes, and even increase earning as an adult! Mentored children are less likely to start using alcohol or drugs, more likely to stay in school, and have improved interpersonal relationships.
