Join us for a gathering of the region’s leading business and government figures as the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce and Wecom Fiber presents Flagstaff Mayor Becky Daggett State of the City Address.
During this informative breakfast program, Mayor Daggett will share key updates on the City of Flagstaff’s current initiatives, outline her vision for future growth, development, and opportunity across the community.
This event is an excellent opportunity to stay informed, get involved, and connect with others who are invested in the progress of our city.
Mayor Becky Daggett passionately advocates for the needs of Flagstaff’s residents, especially its most vulnerable. A strong advocate for housing that’s affordable to all Flagstaff residents and as a vital tool for economic development, she received the Arizona Department of Housing 2023 Housing Hero Award recognizing her unyielding advocacy for housing solutions. Mayor Daggett also advocates for increased investments in forest health to restore natural, low intensity fire adapted forest conditions, thus better preventing catastrophic wildland fires. For this and other work, she was the recipient of an Arizona Forward 2024 Environmental Excellence Award.
Mayor Daggett won her first term on the Flagstaff City Council in 2020 and was elected mayor in 2022. Prior to election, she served in executive leadership of several local nonprofits, including the Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy, the Flagstaff Arts Council, and the Flagstaff Family Food Center as well as the City of Flagstaff’s first Business Retention and Expansion Manager. Mayor Daggett serves with several local, state, and national organizations, including the Arizona Center for Civic Leadership, US Conference of Mayors, Arizona Mayors Education Roundtable, Mayors Alliance to End Childhood Hunger, Climate Mayors, Program for New Mayors at the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University, and in a Fellowship with the Mayors’ Institute for City Design at the Just Cities Lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
The relationships she’s built have elevated the stature of Flagstaff and have helped to bring increased attention and funding for critical projects from both state and federal levels. Mayor Daggett is a two-time NAU grad with a master’s degree in Sustainable Communities.
