He is the founder of Grand Canyon Guitar Society and 2009 winner of a Viola Award for Excellence in Music. Yarbrough has studied with many well-known guitarists, including Frank Koonce, John Rankin and Elias Barreiro, Michael Lorimer, Bill Kanengiser, David Leisner, Jorge Morel, Manuel Barrueco, Christopher Parkening, Paul O’Dette, and Eduardo Fernandez.
