Sharon earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development and Knowledge Management from George Mason University.

In 2011, Sharon and her husband embarked on a yearlong road trip throughout the United States and Canada. They volunteered all over the United States and Canada.

Sharon hosted a podcast from 2017 to 2021 called Do Good, Be Good which highlighted stories of people in the helping professions and the challenges they face when trying to do good.

In 2020, Sharon became the first facilitator in the United States certified in leading online empathy toy workshops. She was certified by Twenty One Toys, the designers of the empathy toy.
