About Us

W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore) is a global materials science company dedicated to
transforming industries and improving lives.

Gore has operated in Flagstaff since 1967 and is the largest private employer in
Northern Arizona with approximately 2,900 Associates. Gore's Medical Products
business develops and manufactures innovative medical devices that treat
cardiovascular and other complex health conditions, with more than 55 million medical
devices implanted. Working in collaboration with clinicians, Gore applies its expertise to
develop solutions that improve patient outcomes through research, education, and a
commitment to quality.

Gore is committed to improving the communities where its Associates live and work
through giving, volunteerism, and service.

Among the many ways Gore gives back to the community is its longstanding support of
the Flagstaff Festival of Science, which it has sponsored since 1989. Gore also
supports STEM education through annual Northern Arizona grants and sponsorship of
the GORE-TEX Kahtoola Uphill Race, which raises funds for experiential environmental
education for Flagstaff sixth graders at Camp Colton. Gore further supports the
community by matching Associates’ donations to United Way of Northern Arizona,
helping fund resources that strengthen and support the region.
