Machine Solutions Supports Growing Caring Community Movement in Flagstaff

FLAGSTAFF, AZ. — September 2026 — Machine Solutions is partnering with the Chapman Foundation for Caring Communities to host Our Community Listens, a three-day leadership and communication class taking place November 16–18, 2026, and afterwards Our Community Serves on November 19-20, 2026. Both event will be held at the Flagstaff Resource Center. The event is part of a broader effort to help make Flagstaff a recognized Caring Community by equipping local leaders, employees, educators, and residents with the skills to build stronger relationships and healthier organizations. Registration for both sessions closes on October 18 and October 22, 2026, respectively.
Our Community Listens is the first foundational class offered by the Chapman Foundation for Caring Communities. The program is designed to help participants learn to listen more effectively, communicate with greater clarity, build trust, resolve conflict productively, and strengthen both personal and professional relationships. Our Community Serves is the second foundational class, focused on shifting mindsets from me-centric to we-centric. Through emotional intelligence and a culture of service, participants develop greater self-awareness and learn how to build trust, collaboration, and accountability.
Through partnerships with local organizations and employers, including Machine Solutions and community members are working to bring transformative communication and leadership training to Northern Arizona. The long-term vision is to create a culture where people feel heard, valued, respected, and connected; the key characteristics of a Caring Community.

Participants will receive a customized eight-part DISC profile and benefit from personalized instruction in a highly interactive learning environment. The class is approved for 18 SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs), providing valuable professional development opportunities for leaders and team members across industries.
Additional Chapman Foundation classes are planned for 2027, giving participants and local organizations opportunities to continue developing the communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills that support thriving workplaces and communities.
Both workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Flagstaff Resource Center, 4000 N Cummings St, Flagstaff, AZ 86004.
