Holiday Shopping Passport: November 25 - January 6, 2024

Support local businesses this holiday season with the Downtown Flagstaff Holiday Shopping Passport! This free passport is available at participating local downtown businesses or online at downtownflagstaff.org. Shoppers who visit at least five participating businesses or spend a combined total of $250 will be entered for a chance to win gift cards from downtown businesses. Participants can also earn bonus entries by donating to a giving tree at a downtown business or by contributing to the ‘Howlidays Pawp-Up’ Fundraiser on Sunday, December 8th. Completed passports can be dropped off at any participating location.

Slack Friday: November 29, 2024

Skip the early wake-up and long lines this Black Friday and enjoy Slack Friday in Downtown Flagstaff on Friday, November 29, 2024! Support local businesses while taking advantage of all-day discounts and sales. Some shops will even offer a special drink to enjoy while you browse! Start your day with a relaxed morning and head downtown for stress-free holiday shopping and great savings. Plus, by shopping local, we can support Flagstaff's small businesses, not just the big-box stores or online giants. Window Decorating Contest:  December 1 - December 31, 2024

Downtown businesses are getting into the festive spirit with the annual Window Decorating Contest! Keep an eye on Downtown Flagstaff's social media for updates. The voting period runs from Sunday, December 1st to Tuesday, December 31st, and you can cast your vote through the Downtown Flagstaff website, where photos of all the decorated windows will be available for viewing. Want to experience the magic in person? Take a stroll through Downtown Flagstaff, admire the creative displays, and vote for your favorite window on our website!

December First Friday ArtWalk: December 6, 2024 - FREE

Discover unique, locally crafted artisan pieces at the First Friday ArtWalk, presented in partnership with Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance and Creative Flagstaff! December’s ArtWalk will take place on Friday, December 6th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Art galleries and local businesses throughout historic Downtown Flagstaff will showcase special art exhibitions, live performances, music, treats, and more. Winter Movie Series: December 7, December 14, December 21, 2024 - FREE

Get into the holiday spirit with free holiday movies in Downtown Flagstaff! The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance is partnering with The Orpheum Theater to bring you three Saturdays of festive film fun on December 7th, 14th, and 21st. Breakfast with Santa: December 7, December 14, December 21, 2024

The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance and the Weatherford Hotel are thrilled to bring back Breakfast with Santa! Join us from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a festive morning featuring a hot buffet-style breakfast, crafts, music, and photos with Santa himself! Come dressed in your holiday best or your coziest pajamas for some family-friendly fun at the historic Weatherford Hotel. Limited tickets are available here. 

Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting: December 7, 2024 - FREE

Kick off the holiday season with the Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance and the City of Flagstaff PROSE Division at the annual Winter Wonderland & Tree Lighting! This FREE, family-friendly event takes place on Saturday, December 7th, starting at 2:30 PM in Heritage Square. 

Enjoy complimentary hot cocoa, live music, crafts, a photo op, a s’mores station, and more! At 6:15 PM, join Santa and local elected officials as they light the tree in Heritage Square. Howlidays Pawp-Up: December 8, 2024 - FREE

Downtown Flagstaff is celebrating the season of giving with the third annual Howlidays Pawp-Up! Bring your furry friends downtown for a FREE festive family photo with Santa in Heritage Square on Sunday, December 8th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Dress up your dogs and enjoy this holiday fun while supporting a good cause. Donations will be accepted at the event and online, with proceeds benefiting High Country Humane and Coconino Humane Association. Both local shelters will be in attendance—don't miss this pawsitively heartwarming event!

12 Bars of Christmas: December 14, 2024

The Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance is excited to host the 5th annual 12 Bars of Christmas Bar Crawl on Saturday, December 14th, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM! Join in the holiday fun by wearing your ugliest holiday sweater or festive attire as you hop from bar to bar in Downtown Flagstaff. Tickets are available here—don’t miss out on this merry event!

Noon Year’s Eve: December 31, 2024 - FREE

Celebrate the arrival of 2024 at Noon Year’s Eve, a fun and FREE family-friendly event in Heritage Square! Join us on Tuesday, December 31st, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a festive morning featuring crafts, a photo op, noisemakers, and more. At noon, raise a glass of apple cider for a toast and enjoy a special pine cone drop courtesy of The Weatherford Hotel. Ring in the new year early with this exciting event for all ages!
