The American Red Cross is looking for shelter volunteers


The American Red Cross has launched a massive disaster response to help those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. More than 45 of our very own Arizona volunteers have deplyoed to help in various parts of the Southeast and many more are on their way. You can be one of them!

Join an upcoming information session or shelter academy. Travel expenses, meals and lodging are all covered for those who answer the call to volunteer. Must complete all required training and be able to deploy for a two-week period.

  • Working nonstop to support 83,000 people taking refuge in Florida evacuation shelters Wednesday night as #HurricaneMilton slammed into the state.
 
As Floridians struggle with the new damage from Milton, the Red Cross is working tirelessly in the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee to provide shelter, food, water, relief supplies and comfort to those still coping with the unimageable destruction left behind #HurricaneHelene.
 
  • Hundreds of Red Crossers and partners have provided 560,000 meals and snacks, and some 32,000 relief items, like cleaning and hygiene items for thousands of families affected by Helene.
 
The local Red Cross chapter is asking the community to come together and help those impacted.
